About

When you think of talented Irish disc jockeys, only one name should spring to mind! Originating from the West of Ireland, Alan Clarke now stands as one of Ireland’s most sought after commercial club acts. With many skills such as a DJ, MC, radio presenter and voice over artist under his belt, it’s no wonder his popularity has spread nationwide.

Having started out in the big bad audio world at 16 with his 50cc scooter crammed with CDs to boot, he has achieved more in eight years than most DJs could hope to achieve in a lifetime! He began to learn his trade working school discos, 18th and 21st birthday parties before moving to Dublin to do weddings and corporate events with top celebrity names in attendance such as Bertie Ahern, Sir Bono and Sharon Corr to name but a few.

Alan claims that his success is down to watching, listening and learning from other DJs before ever donning a pair of headphones himself! With such a massive interest in the industry, Alan decided it was time to get involved in radio and has never looked back. Beginning in 2001, he has climbed the broadcasting ladder and has spun the tunes on all genres of radio starting in pirate, moving on up to community and then progressing into regional radio. He has also engineered and produced a number of award winning programs for the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland where his work has received much praise.

With a qualification in sound engineering and radio production under his arm, Alan then made the big move to Dublin to further his career. During his time there, he worked as a booking agent for one of Ireland’s largest entertainment agencies Audionetworks. Centrally based in Dublin, Alan worked with Audionetworks in delivering that “WOW” factor for top music venues, lavish corporate events and wedding entertainment while also representing the best of Irish talent nationwide. Whilst there, Alan believes that his biggest highlight would have to be Djing alongside world famous DJ Calvin Harris – a night he will never forget.

Alan is currently playing at clubs and venues the length and breath of the country whilst still putting 100% into his show which runs 4 evenings a week on Galway Bay Fm. With his talent, determination and sheer love of music, Alan Clarke is definitely THE name to remember in the audio world and one that’s here to stay.
